Congress Information

 
ADMISSION

Admission to the scientific sessions is strictly reserved to registered congress members. Minors cannot access the session halls, even if accompanied by a registered adult. The same also applies to the Exhibition.
In order to be fully compliant with both the EFPIA and MedTech, ERA-EDTA does not extend hospitality in any way to persons other than the registered congress participants, i.e. healthcare professionals.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
The certificate of attendance is not available as a hard copy onsite. It can ONLY be printed from the restricted online area of each congress member by clicking on the following link www.registration.era-edta2019.org/ra/login.php (access is possible only by using the congress members credentials).
Participation to the sessions will be registered by a beacon system throughout the congress venue and the summary of the sessions attended will be recorded on the Certificate of Attendance.

NEW! CEPD Courses (Continuing Education and Professional Development) - Participation and Certificate
The CEPD Courses are reserved to regularly registered congress members. In order to participate in the CEPD Courses held on June 13, 2019, all participants must register online at www.era-edta2019.org/registrations.
Participation to the courses will be registered by a beacon system and at the end a certificate can be downloaded from the congress members’ restricted area online by clicking on the following link www.registration.eraedta2019.org/ra/login.php (access is possible only using the congress members’ credentials).

INSURANCE/LIABILITY
The ERA-EDTA is insured only to meet claims arising from incidents caused by the organisers and their equipment. Participants, exhibitors and visitors are strongly advised to be properly insured against accidents that could occur when travelling to and from the Congress and during the Congress itself.

LANGUAGE OF THE CONGRESS
The official language of the Congress is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.

PRESS CENTRE
For accredited journalists only. Full press working facilities and activities, including press conferences, press releases and services for press will be available at the HungExpo Budapest during the Congress. For more information contact the ERA-EDTA Press Office at press@era-edta.org.

SOCIAL MEDIA
The official congress hashtag is #ERAEDTA19. Social Media Guidelines will be available on the Congress website.

UEMS CME CREDITS
An application will be made to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) for CME accreditation of the 56th ERA-EDTA Congress and pre-congress CMEs. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). Congress members receiving certificates for ECMEC credits must contact their National Accreditation Authority to have the credits recognised (or converted) in their country of practice.
EACCME credits are recognised by the American Medical Association (AMA) towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, you should contact the AMA directly.
The total number of CME credits given to the ERA-EDTA Budapest Congress will be posted on the website as soon as they are available.

HOW TO RECEIVE UEMS CME CREDITS
Participation to the sessions will be registered by a beacon system throughout the congress venue and the summary of the hours attended will be recorded on the UEMS CME Credit Certificate.
The UEMS certificate reflecting the actual attendance can ONLY be downloaded from the congress members restricted online area by clicking on the following link www.registration.era-edta2019.org/ra/login.php (access is possible only by using the congress members credentials). The UEMS CME Credit certificate shall NOT be sent by post.
